Emails/chats ne chitthi ka maza loot liya.. Aur ab facebook/twitter ne dheere dheere blogging ka... all the people who used to blog regularly are happy posting one-liners on facebook/twitter these days.
I guess/hope blogging will/should still survive.
As a revolutionary step, lets not post stuff on facebook/twitter at least for a while :D
On the surface of it, it looks like twitter vs blogging but no. Both are different medium like newspaper has survived radio, TV and internet. Both are different media. In fact twitter is a nice compliment to blog. For a relaxed, long article where I want space to express myself well I use blog and when all you have to say is 140 byte worthy blogging is overkill and not that "networked".

This even made to news! And was I think amongst top 10 trends on twitter today. This kind of network affect isn't possible with blog.
With twitter you get instant peak into public psyche. So for a small, relaxed, personal network I use blog/google groups and for random networks I use twitter. Its all about following right kind of people, finding interesting people to follow.
Facebook well, it started off good but it has gone down the drains after applications and quizzes.
will have to agree with you, I guess.. i guess it is just a personal thing that i like blog much more than twitter.. the main reason is probably that the blog has archives that you have easy access to..
